Magellanic Penguin
Description:
Magellanic penguins are medium sized, having a height of about 70 cm (28 in) and a weight of 2.3 - 7.8 kg (5 - 17 lbs). Magellanic penguins are notoriously nervous, making them very difficult to approach. If approached too quickly or too closely, they will quickly scurry into their underground burrow. It took slow and careful movement to get close enough for these shots.
